Q. What is so special about City & Guilds courses?

A. City & Guilds qualifications are recognised worldwide. They provide a vast increase in personal knowledge and skills by using the very best specialist tutors who can help you to realise your full potential.

Q. Why study online?

A. You have the facility to study at times which suit you. For many people, the nearest school or college is too far away to attend without giving up the day job!

Q. How long does it take to complete a course?

A. It is entirely up to you. A level 2 course would normally take 120 hours to complete, and a level 3 or Diploma course 420 hours. Most students take approximately one year for level one, and two years for the others, but you can take up to three years, depending on your other commitments.

Q. How soon will I be able to begin my course?

A. As soon as your payment has been processed, we will send the first module by e-mail. Obviously, if you choose to pay by cheque, it takes a few days for the payment to clear.

Q. Will I have access to help throughout the course, whenever I need it?

A. Out tutors are always happy to assist you. There may be times when they are teaching or otherwise engaged, but we will endeavour to respond within a day or two at latest.

Q. What equipment will I need?

A. You will need a sewing machine, access to a computer with an internet connection, a printer and a digital camera to record your progress. A scanner is very useful in addition to the camera.

Q. How will my work be assessed?

A. We ask you to submit good quality photographs of your work via e-mail. The quality enables us to zoom in and check in detail. Occasionally we may ask for a retake of a photo, if we really cannot see something. You will receive details of exactly what is required when you enrol, and we will ask for a sample image before you enrol, to ensure that our communications are compatible.
